“We decided to have a 40th birthday party catered for my husband at the house of good friends of ours in Vancouver. However, we currently live in Victoria! I spent a few hours researching catering companies on the internet and Bizzy Butler fit our needs perfectly as a catering option. One of the things I really liked about Bizzy Butler from the start is that they work with a restaurant of your choice to deliver the restaurant food at the party venue. This was exactly what we had in mind. The contact person at Bizzy Butler, Mary Ann Westendorf, was wonderful to work with! We had great conversations over the phone and she was extremely helpful, friendly and full of great ideas for the appetizers, children's entertainment, desserts and decorations. She and her assistant Annick worked very hard the day of the party (and before!) to get everything just right before our guests arrived. At the party itself they served the appetizers, food, drinks, coffee/tea and set out the desserts with a smile. Mary Ann and Annick stayed to clean up as well after a long day of work. “I have been throwing a Christmas Open House party every year for the past 10 years…each time I greet everyone, tend to the bar, clean up during the evening and prepare and lay out the food. “We recently hosted an event for 40 people in our back yard and decided to hire Bizzy Butler, simply so we’d have a bit more time to spend with our guests. Typically, hosts (okay, me) are somewhat stressed-out prior to guests’ arrival. Regardless of the degree of pre-planning I’m always rushing around lighting candles, frantically putting out food and rummaging around for glasses and bowls. In fact, I’ve actually greeted people at the door in slippers, with rollers in my hair, apologizing and wondering where the time went - not a good way to start the evening! But Mary Ann from Bizzy Butler proved to be an absolute savior, springing into action the minute she walked in the door, finding her own way around the kitchen, putting together beautifully arranged platters of food, and setting up the bar and food areas with an expert eye for colour, composition and detail.
